Norge Olympic Bound

This is an exciting season for our ski club and training center. With the 2018 Winter Olympics just around the corner, The Norge Ski Club could possibly send 5 of our athletes to the games. We currently have 4 young men and 1 young woman from our club alone that represent the USA Ski Jumping Men's and Women's National Team.

Kevin Bickner (Wauconda), Michael Glasder (Cary), Casey Larson (Barrington) and AJ Brown (Fox River Grove) - For the Women's Team we have Cara Larson (Barrington).

This is the first time that The Norge Ski Club has had this many jumpers, from ONE club alone, represent our country. That's exciting to say in the least. Not only is this a testament to our great coaching staff, but also to the families that dedicate their time, monies and volunteering to keep our organization functioning, let alone our members who faithfully work around the facility inside and out.

In addition to our athletes that represent the National Team, we also have a great representation of jumpers from our club on the Junior National/Development Team - Ben Kaiser, Hunter Smith and Patrick Gasienica. You can see, Norge Rocks!

As you can tell, I'm passionate about Norge, but all of us are. It has been an exciting journey to watch our athletes pursue their Olympic dreams. We are so proud of each and every one of them.

The Olympic Trials will be held in December and what an honor for our club to have our jumpers represent the USA. However it turns out, I know that Norge will be represented at the 2018 Winter Games.

We always Thank and appreciate the support CMSC has shown us in the past and currently.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Guy Larson, who is now our liaison for CMSC.
