Vermillion River Rafting accepts ONLY cash or checks, no credit or debit cards.
You must RSVP to Craig Rawlinson by 6/1/19 to attend this event. For contact information, email club50_110@yahoo.com and look for Whitewater Rafting in the auto response from Nancy Drew.
NOTE: Vermillion River Rafting needs a final head count by June 1.

Vermillion River Rafting is located almost eight miles south of I-80, just off Route 178. Depending on how fast the river is flowing, the rafting trip lasts about three hours.
A couple of the whitewater rapids pretty much guarantee that you will get wet. The rafting company recommends that rafters bring a change of clothes or wear waterproof clothing. We will bring a pop-up tent to the take-out area for those who want to change clothes before going out to lunch.
Rafters must watch a safety video before going out on the river. The video can be viewed on their web site before arrival or at the put-in spot.
If the weather does not look promising for rafting, Plan B would be to hike Matthiessen State Park. We would meet at the Dells Area off North 25th Road. If the weather’s REALLY lousy, Plan C would be that Starved Rock State Park has a trolley system and tours. We would meet at the Starved Rock Visitor’s Center.
Following either the raft trip or hike (or trolley tour), we will have lunch at one of the Starved Rock restaurants.
