Founded in 1971 as a club dedicated to downhill skiing, we have changed through the years. While some of our members are still skiers/snowboarders, many of our members participate in day trips as well as tour trips to far off places around the world. We also offer an abundance of social events like monthly Happy Hours and Dining Out, professional sporting events, theatre performances, and brewery/wintery tours, just to name a few.
As we began traveling more, in 2018, the Club decided to change our name to the Springfield Ski and Travel Club. Today we are almost 500 members strong, making us one of the largest ski clubs in central Illinois. We offer year-round activities and social events that keep our members active and entertained.
