Cascade Mountain in Portage has
made $2 million in improvements for
its 50th season. The original Chalet’s
seating was increased and the Daisy
building has been updated and
revamped. The resort installed a robotic
Montana Challenge stone grinder for
waxing and polishing skis and snow-
boards. The mountain also purchased
14 more snowmaking guns and a new
grooming machine for better mainte-

Wilmot Mountain is building a brand
new tubing facility that will be located
on the southwest side of the mountain.
The entrance to the new area will be
just south of the current entrance for
skiing and snowboarding. The tubing
facility features 16 lanes and a Magic
Carpet so guests do not have to climb
back up the hill. There will also be a
special “kiddie” tubing hill as well as
a new building with ticket sales, rental
items, food, drinks and restrooms.
