Durango Mountain Resort is especially welcoming to groups.
Its group sales department happily assists groups both large
and small to create customized packages. Groups may receive
discounts on lift tickets, lodging, rentals, lessons, dining and
other on-mountain events. The resort will give the group leader
a free lift ticket for every 20 tickets purchased, and the group
will have the option of getting a free mountain tour the first day.
Purgatory Lodge anchors Purgatory Village at Durango Mountain Resort.
Durango Mountain Resort also features plenty of summer
activities including mountain biking, mini golf, scenic chairlifts, a
climbing wall, bungee tramp, horseback rides and zipline. The
Total Adventure Ticket is good for unlimited alpine slide rides,
scenic chairlift rides and mountain bike uplifts, a miniature golf
session and two of the following: bungee tramp, climbing wall or
mechanical bull.
In summer or winter, the heart of Durango Mountain Resort is
Purgatory Village. Don’t let the name fool you—this small village
offers plenty to fill the time in between ski runs. Take in magnifi-
cent views of the San Juan Mountains while perusing a variety

Kendall Mountain Liquors offers a full selection of wine, spirits
and beer including local craft brews. Other notable shops are

oxygen that will leave them feeling refreshed and alert, and
Village Market & Deli, which carries groceries, personal items
