Nomad Ski Club of Chicago, Inc.
Peoria Ski Club
Now in our 55th year, we have around 250 members
throughout Central Illinois and some in the Chicago Area.
We have three Western trips and a couple of weekend trips
each ski season, along with a European trip every couple
of years. In the summer we do canoe trips, golf outings
and monthly Happy Hours. A lot of trips leave from O’Hare
Airport, so it is easy to hook up with us for a weeklong trip.
PSC tries to get the “best bang for your buck” on tour trips,
which means keeping the cost down in these expensive
times. (peoriaskiclub.info)
Piccadilly Ski Club
We are a ski/social club with over 150 members who offer a
variety of ski trips & social activities such as a paddleboat
Oak Park Ski Club
dinner cruise, an outdoor Shakespeare play, a wine tasting at
Arlington Park, Bristol Renaissance Faire, bike rides, happy
hours, softball, golf, etc. Our annual picnic (August) kicks off
our trip signups, and an end-of-season banquet (April) wraps
up another fun season. Our trip season starts with Cozumel,
Mexico (mid-December) and ends with Park City, UT (mid-
March) with plenty in between. (piccadillyskiclub.com)
Powder Dogs Ski and Snowboard Club
The Powder Dogs Ski and Snowboard Club, located in
McHenry County, has a wide range of members ranging
from ages 4-74, from singles to families. While skiing and
snowboarding is the main focus, the Powder Dogs provide
social activities year round. Meetings are on the second
Tuesday of the month. There’s usually a guest speaker talking
about ski or snowboard topics. Past speakers included
patrollers, instructors, manufacturers’ reps, foot doctors and
chiropractors. As a member, which costs only $10.00, you
will receive discounts on equipment and clothing from our
sponsor, Alpine Accessories. (powderdogs.org)
Besides ski trips, club calendars
include golf outings, theater Peoria Ski Club
nights and other activities.
