W members of CMSC clubs are on
the go throughout the year. Besides offering
ski trips to top resorts in the United States,
Canada and Europe, the clubs organize other
sporting, sightseeing and social opportunities
as well, from bicycle and canoe outings to
concert evenings and dining adventures.
This alphabetical sampling of member clubs
provides a peek into the fun that awaits
skiers and non-skiers alike.
400 Ski Club
Even though our name says Ski, we are a group of mature
adults from in and around Chicago who get together for activi-
American Blind Skiing Foundation ties other than skiing. We take a December trip to Snowmass
and possibly a second trip in February/March to another
Western ski area. We distribute a bi-monthly email newsletter
and gather for lunch about six times a year with a spring ban-
quet in April and a holiday lunch in December. Members get
together to bike, golf, attend concerts and other planned activi-
ties. Join us. We are a congenial group of people who make
everyone welcome. (400skiclub.com)
American Blind Skiing Foundation
The American Blind Skiing Foundation (ABSF) provides the
opportunity for visually impaired and blind individuals, regard-
less of their ability, to participate in downhill skiing and snow-
boarding. This opportunity is also extended to those individuals
who may not be able to afford to participate. Our year is
always highlighted by our Western trip. We look to 2014 to be
even better and ask anyone who knows a blind or visually
impaired individual who may be interested in skiing to look at
Battle Creek Ski Club
our website for schedules and membership information.

Battle Creek Ski Club
Battle Creek Ski Club has been going downhill since 1954. We
are a year-round club open to families and singles of all ages.
We provide several Western trips each year and several in-
state trips during the ski season. We bike together,
kayak/canoe and camp together, golf and barbecue together.
Our members are from neighboring communities. Besides the
Battle Creek members, a large part of our membership is from
Kalamazoo. We enjoy one another and have a lot of fun
together. We have three parties a year for our members to
thank them for their support. (battlecreekskiclub.com)
